1. Warranty Coverage

All lighting products purchased from avelalights-sydney.com are backed by a 2-year limited warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.

If your light fixture exhibits a manufacturing fault during this period, you may be eligible for a free repair, replacement, or refund.

2. Warranty Conditions

To qualify for a warranty claim, the following conditions must be met:

  • The issue is reported as soon as reasonably possible upon discovery.
  • You provide a valid proof of purchase (e.g. order confirmation or invoice).
  • The defect is not due to misuse, improper installation, accidental damage, alteration, or non-residential use.
  • The product has not been hardwired by a non-licensed electrician (where applicable).

3. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product is defective, please contact our support team:

Include a description of the issue, order number, and photos or videos where possible. Our customer service team will review and respond within 3 business days (Monday to Friday, AEST).

4. Available Remedies

If your warranty claim is approved, you will be entitled to one of the following remedies, free of charge:

  • Refund: If repair or replacement is not available, a partial or full refund will be issued depending on the situation.

5. Return Shipping

If your warranty claim is accepted, Avelalights Sydney will cover the return shipping costs. If the claim is declined (e.g., due to user-related damage or outside warranty scope), return shipping will be at your expense.

6. Australian Consumer Law Rights

This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Under ACL, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not a major one.

7. Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to:

  • Damage caused by incorrect installation or wiring by an unlicensed electrician
  • Normal wear and tear (e.g. bulb life, surface blemishes after prolonged use)
  • Modifications, dismantling, or repairs performed by unauthorized personnel
  • Acts of nature such as floods, fire, or lightning
